I know this post has been delayed now for a few weeks but I just finally uploaded recent photos onto my computer. So these little guys were made for Easter. Just simple cupcakes from a box to work on my decorating abilities.
This is not the best picture but it just shows the super adorable bunny bum on the bottom of the cupcake paper, along with a few of the fully decorated cupcakes. The chocolates on top I free handed just piping the chocolate onto a piece of parchment paper letting it cool after each colour was added so that no running or bleeding took place.
A few more of the fully decorated cupcakes, iced with lime green icing to make it a bright-coloured grass that goes so well with the purple flowers.

Pink and Blue for the Stag and Doe
After the baby shower that passed a week ago, I got my third chocolate making job for a stag and doe...that was only 5 days away. My job...make 300 chocolates and package them all pretty...sounds do-able, stressful but do-able. So I get started thinking I have all Monday to attack the project until I get called into work...Now the job becomes 5 days to make 300 chocolates while working everyday as well. YIPPIE! :) But with the help of my Mom (THANK YOU) we managed to make a HUGE dent into the packaging on Wednesday. This was the finished product.
There needed to be 150 of these pretty baggies. That took quite a few hours to do, but in the end they all got finished and worked great :)
All in all the Stag & Doe was wonderful and it seemed everyone had a great time including the bride & groom to be. Congrats!! :)

Chocolate Rose Pops...Or Are They...?
So I was experimenting with cake pops and I started making chocolate pops which looked like....
And then... I thought why not put some cake into it and make it a fancy cake pop...
I know the pictures not the best but it shows enough that the cake was in there. It was quite delicious!! and really pretty as well. The only thing I had to be aware of was the amount of cake and chocolate I was using because it overflowed a little on the chocolate backing of the pop but as a first attempt they turned out quite cute.

For the Sweetest Day of the Year...
On the 14th day of the 2nd month of every year we are brought together to cherish the ones we love and what better way to show that love then with candy and chocolates. :P So this year I got inspired from Bakerella (link on the bottom of the page) and made a super adorable heart shaped cookie.
As well as some super sweet chocolate pops.
They turned out wonderful.
Both were delicious and really cute. If you are interested in the recipe for the cookie the link is http://www.bakerella.com/big-love/. Alot of my inspiration has come from Bakerella and as I am still learning and getting used to the craft I duplicate the recipe once then I can make it my own later. :)

Let It Snow..Let It Snow...Let It Snow
These were just some of the Christmas treats I made this year. Chocolate snowflake pops made the idea of snow just a little more bareable and paired with the mini ornaments they were delictable. These few chocolates went along with about 15 different squares and cookies to make the season as sweet as can be. All I had to say was...YUM.
Just Monkeying Around
When I saw the molds for these chocolates I knew I had to have them. They are just so adorable and come out perfect! You can't look at these cutie monkeys and not fall in love with their chocolately goodness.
Take a look for yourself...
See what I mean? How much cuter can you get, right? Granted the ribbon could have been a different colour but it was all I had laying around at the time :P

Happy Mother's Day
So I had this idea last year for Mother's Day, which I'm not sure how to top this year, but instead of just buying my mom flowers I decided to make her chocolate flowers. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the finished product but I do have a picture of the flower pot I painted that held the bundle of delicious chocolate bouquet.
The purple, blue and pink roses were simple chocolates I experimented with putting macadamia nuts and almonds in them. Quite tasty :)
Also, I used the purple roses for a wedding in October 2010 (again unfortunately I don't have a picture) but so I was told they were a hit.

Breast Cancer Awareness
Now these were help fundraise for the 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. I just made vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing which I tinted pink and iced them together to look like the awareness ribbon. I thought they turned out quite cute.
I must admit my photography is not the best. :P

Relay for Life 2010
These chocolates I made for my sister to help her raise money for the Relay for Life in summer of 2010. They were lots of fun to make. These not only included making fun yellow flowered chocolates but I also hand painted little flower pots for them to sit in as well.

And let it begin...
Welcome to my first blog.
My goal is to create a site filled with delicious sweets to inspire others to have fun with baking, just like I do. I hope you all will enjoy what I make for an event, or just to fufill an urge to make something. I have high hopes for this and I hope everyone will take this new road with me.
